Calling all Ranch Bronc Riders!
The Cactus Jack Foundation is excited to bring back the Cactus Jack Top Ranch Showdown to Uvalde, Tx. The event, held in conjunction with the Cactus Jack PRCA Xtreme Bull riding, will feature local area ranches and business competing for titles and buckles. Twenty-five ranch or business will be represented in the arena with the nation’s top ranch bronc riders on Thursday May 2nd at the Uvalde County Fairplex.
The inaugural event in 2023 brought riders from all over the nation to show their best skills against some of the rankest horses of United Pro Rodeo Company. These riders use a regular ranching style saddle and bronc reign to ride their bronc for 8 seconds, and judged on their skill and determination.
The format of the Top Ranch Showdown will be as follows:
- 25 Total Ranch Bronc Riders will ride Thursday night, May 2nd, during the Qualifier Round, representing their designated “ranch”.
- The “ranches” with the top 6 highest scores on will advance their rider to the Friday Night Championship Round during the PRCA Xtreme Bull Riding on May 3rd.
- The Top 6 Riders after the Qualifier Round, will be up for purchase during the Thursday Night Calcutta.
The Champion Ranch and Rider will be awarded a custom Champion Belt Buckles and all the Bragging Rights they want to dish out. The riders will also be competing for their piece of the $20,000.00 in added money!
